TaxiA Poem by JoeTyeA Story of how a new life can be a destination away, I don't like to share too much in these descriptionsWhere is it that you would like to go? A silent answer, you do not know But you would like to move on, and with
that you’re certain So you enter the taxi and slam shut the
door. A Taxi takes a husband to visit his lover A Taxi takes a child away from his mother As you gaze out the window they see that
you suffer And with this pain you choose your
destination You sit silently as the driver hums to the
radio He follows the route he has made 5 times
today This is your first This is your last Red light, stop; but no time to turn back A new life awaits the other side of this
track Listen to what you have been told For it is time to do something bold. The light turns green And at the Taxis advance A truck smashes the vehicle Nothing awaits you A Taxi takes a criminal from his cell From a second chance, he prayed to do well Light turns to darkness in a single spell So how do we define Heaven and Hell? © 2014 JoeTyeAuthor's Note
