The Wider End

The Wider End

A Poem by Joe Baxter

Let me pollinate your flower,
I will shelter your buds.
Let us walk this autumn shower,
Through the tearful floods.

Let me complicate your hour,
Stall to dance with the lark.
Let me be your sweet and dour,
I will shade you from the dark.

Let me sing in your shadow,
Liven your mind in a spark.
Let us plummet through tomorrow,
Leaving only our mark.
