Where's Gone All his PlansA Poem by Joe LilacEven an eternal optimist has pessimism visit now and again...Lonely in a crowd of one Lonely in a crowd of one Lonely in a crowd of one Where is all the fun? Lonely is the heart of man Lonely is the heart of man Lonely is the heart of man Where's gone all his plans? I Never felt good about me Reasons are plain to see Knockin' hard to beat the band Yet lonely is the heart of man Once he had a string of dreams Wonderful n' beautiful it seems Now he reaches with outstretched hands Never to feel the grasp of those plans His heart was made move his blood And not to feed the soul a flood Still never having felt that touch For what he had desired so much Some lives are meant to only bleed Never will they find what they need The corks been pulled from the drain Down now spinnin' goes all of his pain Still a searchin' for dreams soft hand Still a hopin' for that one special plan Of a dream that finally will come true As now it's all that's left he can do Never gonna to give up hope While even at the end of his rope That hand is special in so many ways He'll be reachin' for it the rest of his days Lonely in a crowd of one Lonely is the heart of man Lonely in a crowd of one Lonely is the heart of man Lonely in a crowd of one Lonely is the heart of man Lonely in a crowd of one Where's gone all his plans?
