Traitor

Traitor

A Poem by Jodi

You argue.

You attempt to calm me.

You channel your cold future.

I am gleaming happily,

A curious entity forgotten.

It constantly consumes me inside.

You are rebourn, and humbled.

Your scream contrasts my sigh;

A traitor to your own reflection.

I engage you never to be satisfied.

The truth is a rare reality.

You make council.

We exist to remember.

You will probably never

Truly appreciate the present.
