am afraid

am not afraid of you 

am afraid of me

am afraid to open my heart to let you in

am afraid of the feelings that it might bring 

am afraid of the word love 

am afraid of falling in love 

falling so deep, that i can't swim 

waiting for a lifeguard, will you be him 

see i got a phobia and its called love 

am afraid of one day being the only that still hasn't found love 

am afraid simply afraid of rejection

that's why i put up a wall, my only protection.

That was a deep poem I can fully understand, Thing makes me so mad is all those me men out their abused their ladies in some form, leaving them high and dry and they feel as you just wrote. I met a lot couldn't get close , They were like a Faro Cat. Some men in the world never got to feel that love and their just as hurt as all the women went threw that hell.

I know what you mean , but if we will be afraid , we will never be good writers , we will not feel love as we , poets , need it
