The Warrior Poet

The Warrior Poet

A Poem by Joby Bottoms
"

I met The Warrior Poet, Cameron Conaway http://cameronconaway.com/ and although he doesn't know it yet, he inspired me to write poetry again.

"

The cold steel springs of the fighting ring,

took a dip in the warm blue ink.

The pen was never

mightier than the sword.

They lived in the same apartment.

In the same

CAGE.

You travelled

from America

to Thailand,

to learn

to fight

a different way.

With your rock:

Maggie.

The Warrior Poet and The Hunting Teacher.

Real-Life Super-Heros.

Sri Lanka called.

You answered.

"Ayubowan", we said.

Driving, talking, eating, drinking, laughing.

A journey,

into each others lives.

The Cinnamon Grand; we dined, laughed again and

you did something

very special.

You gifted.

Thank you.

Then you left

a big impression on me.

To meditate again, through words.

I too, am a

Warrior Poet.
