Gatecrasher

Gatecrasher

A Poem by Joby Bottoms
"

Someone I bumped in to yesterday.

"

I don't mind if you occupy a space in the

garden.

But don't come into my room because you really scare the living s**t out of me.

I didn't even know you had arrived until

last night when you

slithered to my gate.

All

7 FOOT

of you.

And they all started running with rocks at you.

Shouting in Sinhala.

Then I saw you.

And

RAN

closer

to see you not in a zoo.

Thank you Python

for reminding me

that I'm still

living in

the Tropics.

Go careful where you tread? Did you take a picture of your invader? Nice short poem; definitely created a picture.
