Dirt and Bruises

Dirt and Bruises

A Poem by JoJo Hallows

Angst and frantic won’t you calm me with the fact that none of it will come true?  We don’t have to fear the pain of having and losing love. We are just two bodies laying, lying. Madness sweeps me off my feet and carries me away. You can defile me. You can take all the flowers in my garden’ leaving your treks of dirt.  I’m a mess. I’m up-rooted, wild and unruly. Now, everyone can see me truly.  A face of red, purple and blue. An affectionate touch would only cause me pain. Your violence puts me out of my misery. This can’t hurt any worse. I pray you notice my suffering is my love for you.
