To the Water.

To the Water.

A Poem by JoJo Hallows

When you left me here alone with all my tears, I became the sea. I was wanting and turning. I supported you as you drited through me. Funny, we both found places by the sea. You, with a girl, kids and a ring. I found myself something new to sink into. With a Siren's song, I've layed with many in a murky bed. Do I rise and surface to the glow of the morning sun or do I drown at the bottom? Soundless and weightless, explain to me when I lost my power to walk on solid ground. As the tide brings in another year and we question where did our love go, I'll say I took it to the water.
