Trophies and Boxes.

Trophies and Boxes.

A Poem by JoJo Hallows

It sits like a trophy on a shelf in your basement. Do you look on in admiration or in wonder? Was it ever meant to be won? Or are you realing from the loss? No one expected us to play a game even our fathers couldn't win. And I sent it to you in a letter with all the things we never say, so you could put it in a box to hide away.
