The Awakening

The Awakening

A Poem by Jen
"

A reminder that many of us has forgotten dear Mother Earth

"

Humans

One planet

One hemisphere awakening

A glow slowly emerges

Throughout the streets of their towns, suburbs and cities

Glistening – pulsating with energy

Throughout the streets, play yards and gardens

Bodies act as robotic machines

Warped into conformity and constrictions

Clashing of two worlds

One hemisphere

Forgetting of a ripen Mother Nature

Foot , step, pounding –against concrete

Engine of a vehicle

Echoing amongst its peers

Velocity – Departure

Beauty so easily overshadowed

Essence of the sun rising

Tickling the skies above

Nurturing the robotic mechanic bodies below

Only to be neglected and forgotten in return

A powerful poem. Nature need a gentle caress of human race. We use and abuse old Earth. We need to take care of her. I like the feel of the poem. Strong words leading to a perfect ending.
