Rumble

Rumble

A Poem by Jen
"

Poetry which captures the artist. The broken girl.

"

A pale moonlight

Her eyes catches the reflection on the water, which disappears into the night's sky

As her focus drifts down she gazes upon the sand, proceeding to bow her head

Wishing all that lies within her would stream out; finally disappearing into that vast ocean

Like a thieve, you have robbed her

A deserted heart, one that longer beats

Every ounce, every action, every struggle that was fought and won was for you

Why in the end she would be solely left with misery.

A hollow deep pit sits in her chest where her heart once lied

Closing the gates surrounding her body, her soul ....what shall remain?

Time will surpass

Many will come and many more will vanish

Whom decides to understand a broken young girl will be the one worthy of keeping

A girl so beautifully decorated, her wonders will someday project out almost as if on a picture screen that shows a silent movie

- she does not need to speak nor be in colour. If you look closely you can see it all in her eyes

For now she continues to stand surrounded by the darkness of the night and the rumble of the sea, pounding inside of her

wishing to escape the drudgery of it all.
