Absolute

Absolute

A Poem by Jen

The eyes are focused straight ahead

There in front of me

I see nothing

Draped in a cloud of absolute

A sensibility of nothing

Lighting strikes, cracking my skull into two

Nothing it seems

There in the distance

The voice of a child hums a melody as faint as the distant star in a night's sky

Calling from the other side

I reached out my hand even further

Suddenly, engulfed in darkness -the voice changes

Tricked as the common fool

I am the common fool

We are the common fool

Awaiting the trials of a life time

I hear myself say "Forgive, me my lord for I am your simple servant"

I have found my calling

Awaken

Realization of the soul that is no longer within

I walk looking forward towards nothing but absolute
