Blackbird

Blackbird

A Poem by Jacob Mahurien
"

A eulogy of a sorts

"

Blackbird singing on a slow decline,

Elegant wings paint a song to the night.

The whole world listened in,

And so did I.

Gray world, falling in a fast decline,

Oh cruel world, where’s your song to this life?

No one listened in,

And nor did I.

Such a profound poem. The world will try to synthesize a beautiful image to cover its lies and deceit. However, that will never compete with the natural facets of our environment.
