Chapter IV

Chapter IV ©

Appearing outside a forest as both Luna and Roq got a strong whiff of dried grass and heard continuous loud bangs of metal getting pounded.

“Where are we?” Roq asked as he let his eyes follow the brown and orange leaves that blew swiftly past him and towards the loud pounding noise.

“We’re in Aiden.” She replied as she took a step forward while letting her eyes wonder the landscape. “It’s a small village within these forests.”

“Aiden? Never heard of it.”

“Good, that’s how we like it.” Luna replied as she slowly turned and looked at Roq. “Let make haste.”

Taking a step behind Luna and following her towards the entrance of the forest, a fire ball shot from out of the forest causing Luna and Roq to dive separate ways. Falling on his back onto a pile of fallen leaves, Roq watched at the fire ball continued down it’s course until it was out of site.

“Luna! Are you alright!?” Roq yelled out as he turned his head and saw a shirtless tall and well built, dark skinned man rushing in on his position. Hopping to his feet, Roq had no time to defend himself as the strong man punched him on the left side of the jaw. Floating into the air then falling down to the ground, Roq slowly got to his hands and knees as he shook his head and tried to shake the cobwebs. Hearing the strong man’s feet rushing in once again, Roq quickly pushed off the ground just in time for the strong man to miss with one of his kicks. Turning and grabbing the strong man’s think leg, Roq pulled him in and punched him between the eyes.

“That’s all you got kid?” The strong man asked and laughed as Roq’s eyes widen from shock. Letting go of the strong man’s leg and jumping backwards next to another pile of leaves, Roq began to analyze the strong man and saw that the strong man was holding a strange armguard in each hand.

Not taking too long analyzing the strong man, Roq quickly went down to one knee and pulled out a small dagger from out of his left black boot. Getting back to his feet, Roq went on the attack and charged the strong man’s position. Doing the same, the strong man also went on the attack and charged towards Roq. Both a few feet from one another, Luna finally appeared and stood between both of them.

“Long time no see Troy.” Luna said as both of the men stopped.

“Huh!?” Roq said breathing heavily with adrenaline building.

Walking closer to Luna, Troy looked down at her as a smirk slowly replaced his frown. Holding her arms out and open, Luna smiled and laughed as Troy picked her up off of the ground and gave her a tight squeeze.

“It’s been too long Luna, where have you been!”

“Getting repaired, like Gwenn told us. Sorry it’s been a while since I been here. I herd that there was an attack here as of late, are you alright?” Luna spoke as Troy placed her back on the ground and released her.

“Come on now, who can kick my a*s?”

“Me.” Roq answered with his dagger still in his hand and ready to continue the fight “Luna, who the hell is this guy?”

“Troy, this is Roq.”

“So he’s the one Gwenn sent you to look for?” Troy asked as she nodded.

“Roq, this is Troy, my older brother.”

“Brother!?” Roq asked as he looked for a resemblance.

“Roq is it?” Troy asked as he grabbed Roq’s attention as they looked each other face to face.

“Yeah, what of it?” Roq replied as he squeezed his dagger’s hilt.

“Hey sis..” Letting out a slight chuckle as he turned his head and looked at his sister, her eyes widened as she shook her head and took a step forward.

“Troy don’t!”

Before she could get to her brother, Troy quickly leaned forward and delivered a ferocious head butt to Roq’s forehead, causing him to fall and become buried into the pile of dead leaves.

Running over to Roq’s side and getting down on her knees to check on him, she noticed that Roq was unconscious and not moving. “Damn it Troy! Do you always have to do that!?”

            “Hey what can I say?” he said as he let out a faint chuckle. “I just can’t help myself.”
