In the Stillness

In the Stillness

A Poem by Jeremy Litton
"

This is a small poem simply about the inward struggle that I face with my relationship in Christ and how it is in the stillness I am reminded who I am in Him.

"

There is no sound to hear

No wind, there is nothing

The silence is clear

There is beauty around me

As far as my eyes can see

Your creation, created perfectly

I sit in awe of Your glory

Every little detail perfect

All with a divine story

My mind races ahead, imperfect

My head screams and moans

There is no silence, it does not relent

My heart strains with sorrow

It heaves with grief and worry

My heart is filled with woe

But the stillness brings something

Something holy and pure

In the stillness I am living

You speak to my wondering mind

You comfort my heavy heart

You speak away my binds

You speak through Your perfection

You speak through the stillness

You speak through your creation

It is in the stillness I see Your best

In the stillness I feel Your grace

In the stillness I have Your rest

I like this, sometimes we just need to take a breath and focus on God to feel His peace and His love surrounding us.

Good Job
