Bright Eyes

Bright Eyes

A Poem by J. Kell

My eye is bright

But they say its dark

Only our eyes can see the true part

Claimed and owned

Staked out and measured

Absolutists have hemmed me in

But God has given my spirit wings

And I soar above them

Infinite blue is mine

As I float on its tender embraces

To the fiery sphere

That illuminates my perception

Consuming me

like the fabled winged youth.

Thank you Pryde, I am so glad you liked it.
Enjoyed this one Justin.
Fantastic imagery, thought provoking...

"Only our eyes can see the truth part."

I believe this is true if we're looking within. The 3rd eye...
But we have to be careful, even looks can be deceiving
