I promise

I promise

A Poem by Vaibhav Singh Thakur

She brought him on this earth
reared him with her best comfort
The pain she beared; the price she paid
was worthy which could never fade

She had a dream alike everyone
full of happiness; full of fun
Moulding him with every good character
For Serving society; serving as doctor

He couldn't infer her eyes
wasn't it inoperable to call him wise?
he completed schooling without planning
naively he was everytime failing

When he realised it was too late
where was he standing; couldn't locate
unknowingly he broke the pearly heart
in soft silence, without any thwart

Absence of volition for his mistakes
perplexed about planning for her sake
what she'd thought; what he'd became
a looser, a burden and a numb

Why he didn't perpetrate his part?
Was he deaf to hear her heart?
Shattered and woebegone with single wish
"One day I'll make you proud mom" I promise
