Emptiness

Emptiness

A Poem by Jesica Kiraly-Cunningham
"

"you broke me, I hope it was worth it."

"
You thought that I was perfect,
little did you know,
all of my problems hidden below.

My pretty facade,
worked well to hide my petty inside.
Full of hate and anger,
driven by a small danger.

You paraded me around,
proud oh so proud.
Eyes wide shut now you feel,
no such pride has depression allowed.

I hide my thighs,
the scars call them home.
Held captive by the stars,
I shake my shackles and dream to roam.

You'll never understand how hard my brain works to see,
the way you see,
the heat you feel as people walk by.
Never will I agree.

I'm sorry I'm so broken,
but from the broken can grow a galaxy,
full of beauty and wonder,
hidden behind tears.

Mine.
