Unnoticed as me

How come nobody knows me unless I undress?

When I'm reading you all pass me by

but when I remove something 

you all start to stare

When I'm alone and scared, nobody cares

but when I'm full of energy, you are around me

I feel so unnoticed when I'm myself

but gets lot of attention when I act differently and inappropriate 

Why am I so unnoticed as me?
