Stuck

Stuck

A Poem by Holly

Run, run, run,
Getting nowhere fast.
The chances I had
Are gone and past.
I’m in the same place
As I was before,
Trying to get the courage
To go for the door.

Stuck behind that giant wall,
I try to climb but only fall.
I can’t seem to get it right,
my heart hurts and my chest is tight.

I wish I could get out of this rut,
Make it out the door, don’t let it shut.
Climb the wall, give myself another chance,
Let’s stop this stupid dick dance.

I have to have faith, I’ll make it through,
No more lies, I’ve got to stay true.
Get on my feet and climb that wall,
Even if it’s 10 stories tall.

Run, run, run, get out of there fast.

I've been in this position before. You'll eventually get out. You just have to be determined. I hate that feeling of spinning my wheels and not going anywhere. Whenever I'm in a situation like this, I listen to Frank Sinatra's "That's Life" song. It kind of gets me fired up again. Well done though. I like this poem.

i really like those lines. they're really inspiring one to not give up...i quote professor randy pausch when he says in his book "The Last Lecture", "Brick walls are there for a purpose. They are there for us to prove how badly we want something". Great job
