Until Now:

Until Now:

A Poem by Jinx Bane
"

I asked myself 'why do you write poetry' so I answered the best I could. This is the first poem I wrote in the small journal I keep, I hope you enjoy.

"
Forever unread words.
Forever unread poems.
For every whispered wish to the wind.
For every desired day.
Forever sleepless nights.
Forever meaningless memories.

For thinking,
Of everything and nothing.
For knowing,
Ignorance from intelligence.

For my thoughts,
Happy and sad,
Good and bad,
Exciting and boring.

For him_ my love.
For family_ my home.
For friends_ my inspiration.

My poems,
Where for me.
And now they are for you,
For your greedy eyes,
And your hungry mind.
Forever unread words,
Until now.

Hi there, Lady-Poet 🎶

Reading this piece is as if you took us by the hand on a stroll through the wondrous facets of how you perceive many interesting aspects of others, of both common and complicated things, and of daily life -- even love -- giving vibrant voice to your thoughts, awarenesses, feelings, and emotions shared and expounded upon by your acutely conscious and delightfully insightful depths.
I know that seems a mouthful, but it's the sensations derived from the energy dancing, singing, and breathing in your words. Even your punctuation, line-breaks, and flow are spot-on, and the imagery paints such vivid word-pictures … yeah, I know: blah-blah-blah!
Ah-well, it isn't just what you say, it's in how you say it and in how you've presented it all to us … unique, charming, quaint, eloquent, and quite originally appealing to the senses.
Title and windup … goodness! You have a load of potential; stick with it, please.

Much of You is revealed in this excellently rendered and formatted Free Verse piece, and I'm really enjoying your writings … what's more to say, Jinx, but, "Thank you sincerely for this sweet treat!" ⁓ Richard 🍃

Awesome poem! Very original and thought-provoking. I really felt it at "For thinking, Of everything and nothing" as I feel this quote reflects so strongly on the human condition. Its the paradoxical nature of life isn't it. Often, as humans, we think of so many different things that hold very little meaning or value to ourselves, and to the bigger picture of life and our existence. So in this case "Everything" really becomes "Nothing". The reverse is also true, thinking about "Nothing" i.e. Just "being", without any concerns or mind-chatter, can be "Everything" that you've ever wanted/needed. Entering a state of bliss, i.e. a higher consciousness, and REALLY feeling the full effect of life. I usually pin it down to an absence of mind which leads to an awareness of the soul. Our brains are wired to think of the future and the past constantly, and never truly embracing the moment. Abondoning our brains flaws in this aspect gives rise to a way of acting which is in line with the human spirit, i.e. our true selves.
Sorry for the long comment, and for only focusing on one aspect of the poem, I just felt it carried alot of weight and depth to it.
Keep up the good work Jinx! :)

Thank you so much :)
Being able to share your inner-most thoughts is what sites like these are for. Just when you think no one cares, up pops another voice in approval. Don't be afraid to share, even if no one comments.

Nice poem.
