Beyond the Veil

Beyond the Veil

A Poem by Kai Harmon
"

Prayer to the reaper

"
As harsh winds steal the leaves and fall like rain
The world is left in silence and vain
For now the world has lost another soul
Leaving the town feel less than whole

Unforgivable is the reaper we refuse to greet
Praying just one more day we shall not meet
But there it lays the faults of man kind
The blissful ignorance that we all find

Haunting us in ever corner of the abyss
Surrounding us in death's inescapable kiss
Brought to fall within the Earth
Shedding the world of peace and mirth

Cursed be the fate of us all
To which our heads one day shall fall
With each memory of all we’ve done wrong
We hear the bells play their last song
