Foreboding shine

Foreboding shine

A Poem by Jimmy West

Foreboding shine

The sky today has a foreboding shine
Shadows of obelisks blanket the sea
Always looking for another false sign
when the only ones here are you and me
So what do you hear on your golden throne
With your decaying, claustrophobic soul
Screams of the peasants that echo alone
What will you do with all the hearts you stole

In coalition we dance like the stars
Dancing, dancing slowly drifting apart
In absolute darkness from here to mars
Here i am waiting to hand you my heart

Looking and looking to see who i`m with
Knowing i`m forever lost in this labyrinth
