Heart tree;

A Poem by Jimi Brady

Seeing signs and leaving lines in the tree leaves.

Lo,

Her of dark framed hair and

Eyes alight, green brown and bright

Like lips inclined to mine and

Hands entwined, never looking behind and

Lo,

The golden web drawn in intricate thread

Between leaves of dark and red and

Carved, etched in the air and

Skyborn droplets of water above our heads and

Lo,

You and I

Lain in a bundle ‘neath the heart tree

Wrapped in a smile and a sigh,

The light of us reflected in the web, the leaves,

In our time of need -

Take the time to find you and me.

Watched your video, and I was highly impressed, so I thought I'd come to check out your poetry. (I read them like the lyrics to a song.) I write music myself. (Compositions really.)

But anywho, I really really liked this. It has a message--it's not just a mess of words on the computer screen, and definitely doesn't follow your modern artist, yet your music AND writing are still highly appealing. Well done. I'll admit I'm a bit jealous--the good jealous--of your talents! Haha. Which is a difficult 'feat.
