L'Heure;

L'Heure;

A Poem by Jimi Brady
"

Another short poem. This one was written when Amanda and I first started talking. :)

"
Nerves had me nervous
like you had me; oh, you had me.
Dreadfully curious, the way we
see eye to eye; the way you think.

I said I’d lose my voice; you said you’d lose yours, too.
          It might’ve been a joke, but it happened -
                  I lost my words when I saw you.

You capture the moment of love-at-first-sight, that feeling of absolute speechlessness and fascination at the realization that you've found a kindred spirit in someone else. It's both exciting and nerve-wracking but still utterly captivating. Beautiful simplicity; I love this one. :)
