Is it better to give, than to give in?

Do people worry when love escapes?
Do they think long and hard or accept it as fate?
Do they question the actions that brought this about?
Do they ever feel the urge to scream or shout?

The love you lose is hard to regain.
To attempt to do so would cause you real pain.
To not attempt it would leave you distraught.
A double edged sword, amusing, is it not?

To hear the tears hit the floor,
Knowing that love is lost forevermore,
You begin to falter, begin to fall,
And yet, your hope will keep you standing tall.

To hold someone's heart is an amazing feeling.
To know that the person is higher than the ceiling.
Knowing your love will make them happy.
Knowing your love is all they carry.

You can be someone's angel, the wind beneath their wings.
You can be all that they wish for, their everything.
And yet, should you err in your ways,
You'll be left with nothing to say.

Love, love with all your heart.
A bond so strong it will not break apart.
But be wary, keep your eyes on the prize,
For if you don't they will see it in your eyes.
