Good Morning.

Good Morning.

A Poem by Jillian Louise

The sun shone through the room,
In beams of white.
Over our heads the star did loom,
Radiating upon us a bright light.
The feathered cover still over my head,
You are resting beside me.
I roll myself over to your side of the bed,
It is the only place I desire to be.
You stir some and open your eyes,
I watch you wake as I lay against you.
You look over at me with great surprise,
It's almost like smiling is all you can do.
I quietly say, "Hi,"
As you tuck a tendril behind my ear.
In a deep, resonant voice you reply,
With the sweetest words I could ever hear.
You tell me you love me,
And I don't know what to do.
You're everything I wanted you to be,
And suddenly it slips: "I love you, too."

Incredible how you tied together the morning sun, the touch, the smile, the words. To me, it was perfect. Added to favorites. :)
