See, Speak, Hear

Inspired by my boyfriend.

To follow morality,
I do what I must.
Sacrifice and offer up,
What my god so divinely asks of me.
So I shall gouge out my eyes,
I shall see no evil.
And I shall rip out my tongue,
I shall speak no evil.
Then I shall cut off my ears,
I shall hear no evil.
I will mutilate myself.
Ruin myself,
Let my precious messiah devour me.
To achieve such ends,
I shall not be evil.
At His request,
I shall not be evil.
I will live for His smile,
I will die for His kiss.
He shall rip me apart,
And find the shreds will not even be evil.
He is my accuser,
I the accused.
Crucify me on your behalf,
Dear Heavenly Father,
I will not even bleed evil.
Annihilate every shred of my sanity,
Find the lobotomized husk not to be evil.
Take my everything,
It shall not be evil.
Is this what He wishes?
At His request,
I shall do this no more.
To get to Heaven,
I will raise Hell.
Satan will kiss the pearly gates and set them ablaze.
I shall be evil.

A very interesting poem.

Had the feel of a prayer leading to place of evil and no return. I liked the flow of thoughts leading to the strong ending. A wild ride in the excellent poetry.
