Pellucid Simplicity

Pellucid Simplicity

A Poem by J

blue touch paper thoughts squirm in her pocket

moth~eaten corduroy darkling sighing

some will find intellectual deficiency in her

landslide of calamities

picked in pandemonium

          fingered in secret

as she walks barefoot through dandelions gone to seed

but others ….. retreat to prose

stored up, muttering rhyme in shower steam spiraling

upward

never balancing a walk with no shoes

her trek through two divorces, squeezing through a screen

fallen to such dissolution

moves with wind gusts laughing through a bad batch

of combustible skies

her wings.blue touch paper thin, a ballet of calamities,

flutter through her fingers

Sensibilities that are not dampened by rough treatment or made numb by severed hopes and untempered dreams. Instead emotion finds imagination, longing meets ink, and an awareness of the kindness that still shines in abundance is made a matter of record. Capable of bringing others through the ballet of calamities, to find the music still playing on the other side.

Wonderfully written and patiently transcribed...

I only wish I could write this way. Images, imagination and a skill for using just the right words. Someday...someday.

well yes, calamities, but that's how we make poets, at least ones who can write pellucid simplicities

'her wings.blue touch paper thin, a ballet of calamities,
flutter through her fingers ' .. .. fragile, beautiful.

A view into world of always-to-be-remembered by a poet worth remembering .. thank you for sharing

A moment of soft whisper - a touch of class meets up with each line written...

Love what this line says

as she walks barefoot through dandelions gone to seed

(J) So good to have you back
