To Snow and Fairy Dust

To Snow and Fairy Dust

A Poem by J

She bounced right off the inkling

* * * * * * * golden rings and tinker bells winking

on tiny toes zzzzzzzzzzzinging * * * * *

*   *   *

 through the galaxies * * * spinnnnnning

* * * * * *

*

 * *

     * * aglitter, aflicker  ~  her heart atwix

          amidst

anticipating * * *

         *

On Halley’s comet tail she flew

* * * * * * * * in the genius of a snowflake parade in search * * *

in search

* * * * of something he once said

to the heavens on a misty

midnight  * * * * * flurried * * *in December icing

In a glance of her cosmic smile

* * * * she * * * perched on the cusp of an eighth of a moon

       sang songs of fields of poppies soon

budding beneath the snow

 * * * * *

and she opened her tiny fists and let go

her angel dust upon the world

The earth shimmered in many colours

* * * * * * * * and gave praise ...

Then the angels came and fetched her up * * *  and

  * * *

            * * * He smiled   ;-)

i hope all the * * * * * [!] aren't too distracting ..... what i really wanted was the creative ability to sprinkle snowflakes all over the page ~~ strategically reasonable only to me. ;) i love this piece for the whimsy of whooshing [unencumbered] 'round and about the universe with a singular, extraordinary gift to share ...... ;-)

the font size is subtly, haphazardly irregular, rhythm disrupted, rhyme random ..... it is a breathless whim; an impetuous unruliness. ;) ........... i wish i had wings.

Suspended by a fleeting, imaginitive burst of synergy, touching the finest tinsel-wrapped dream, cosmically enchanted, un-held by the pitch and roll, the flounce of gravity's pull, alighting the train of lightbeams, finding the source of each and every one, the distant resource of rainbows and the rare glimmer of happiness. What a finely-created creature of comfort, making even the most destitute of hearts smile.

Nice work...inspiring and unforgettable, truly one of a kind...!

I'm not exactly a poetry s**t, I don't give it up easy...but save me time and stick an "oh my" on all of them. Bravo. I'm a bit jealous of being able to stun people like the rapture took them away in a snake rasslin' revival tent.

Heavenly in every language .. liquid gold and drifting silver words. Here you've invented another way of travelling thought and dancing it into space.

This can only be you and very lovely.

Merry Christmas Jill I see you have the spirit again as evident in your work .Who can say what this does to us >?I like to think it maturizes into a poem like this and spreads itself across the globe to touch those who need it most

Wow! You made these words come alive with motion and magic! I loved how it took the imagination by the horns and led it down a beautiful journey! The idea that it is fairy dust that brings the snow to be white during the winter is a wonderful notion... even though... I could think that perhaps rainbow colors of snow would be better, perhaps even flavored! lol

Great Ink Lady J!
