Blue

Blue

A Poem by J

Blue air

on the streets and in your hair

seeping into blood still traveling

oxygen-lit and sweet

Blue tears

on your palms and beyond your years

wept upon the altar of things you've seen

embedded in corneal lenses

Blue words

on your lips and wings of birds

attached with wire as they wait

to fly your sorrows aloft

Blue day

still on the books until flown away

to a realm where sadness dies

and only memory markers remain

Oh the blues..though this was very sad, I like how you made blue flow through everything as it captured a true blue day so perfectly. When you write, you have an unique way of getting to the essence of things that is impressive. beautifully expressed..

This alone was worth the price of admission.

Wonderfully done.

Great idea...loved to a realm where sadness dies. I thought that second stanza was outstanding. Thanks.

You words weave emotion and the color blue in a such way that we could reach out and know it's existence. I love the image you chose to put with it, for it defines the transition from physical existence to the realm of air and thought. Water and sky together seamlessly. It fits for that is often how our emotions flow through our every day.

The image looks like it might have been of the Australian Salt Flats.

Great Ink!

So blue your thinking, so utterly wonderfully full of that precious colour of space out .. out .. there .. and all around. You have the gift of removing veils so that thoughts are displayed and shared, not least in that third stanza which turns blue into compassion. Sad in hope however, those final four lines .. an apt finish to a beautiful write.

have to re.read this beautiful sadness..

' where sadness dies ~ and only memory markers remain ' .. .. and soon.

Blue is incredibly descriptive in its simple form. Azure could never compete. Beautiful.

Moody blues...nicely penned and painted with words that dip into the emotional pond of experience.

One of a kind poem...where the horizon blends sky and sea. Fluidly penned...and touched with dreams!
