Blue

Blue

A Poem by J

Blue air

on the streets and in your hair

seeping into blood still traveling

oxygen-lit and sweet

Blue tears

on your palms and beyond your years

wept upon the altar of things you've seen

embedded in corneal lenses

Blue words

on your lips and wings of birds

attached with wire as they wait

to fly your sorrows aloft

Blue day

still on the books until flown away

to a realm where sadness dies

and only memory markers remain

Oh the blues..though this was very sad, I like how you made blue flow through everything as it captured a true blue day so perfectly. When you write, you have an unique way of getting to the essence of things that is impressive. beautifully expressed..

Exceedingly Earth-like, you will write us letters from other planets I hope? Blue for yellow stars, most of them are red. This poem could win a prize I'm sure, for a summary of what was rich here.

You choose it well, I love photos that balance simplicity and beauty. :)
This gets at the depths of sorrow, that stone heavy pit in one's stomach and soul. The last stanza, a kind of universal sense of giving into it all because what else can one really do about it?

The way you describe blue makes it seem the quintessential beauty. Just like the one who created this work

A truly beautiful poem J. As beautiful as the color blue. This poem is like a meandering road inside.
