In Perfect C

A Poem by J
"

"s" sounds and a tribute to a long-missed friend who taught me of things held forever as my own -- all my forward "colours" are evermore his.

"

Beneath the sea

dwells the rest of me

slip sliding on silent cerulean drifts

skidding sandstorms on bottom currents

sweetest bubble notes of being

rise to burst

on the surface in sibylline symphony . . .

the music of your rainbow colours.

dear corset -- i am taken aback by your stunning review, honored and humbled. thank you so very muc.. read more
As one who cannot bear to live away from the sea, I thank you for this lovely poem. The descriptive expertise is very apparent in every line and although the first line offers room for conjecture, the thrust of this poem is quite simply joy - joy in appreciation of colour, texture and movement, but the lovely riddle of the first cryptic line adds weight.
Thank you,
John

That opening line is amazing! "Beyond the sea/dwells the rest of me" I love it. Great description throughout, very deep work. I can see this being a happy piece!

Brilliant lines of poetry that shift from visual to sea-sensuality, tempting the connoisseur of waves to dive beneath their surface to see what lies beneath.

Nicely done...a poem of sparkling, splashing grandeur...only three pages too brief...;)

The essing C sounds are the high-stgung whispers we don't hear but feel. JOY, yes! This is as near a dreamy write one can read in the early hours.. if only for that beautiful final line.

To find, ' ..the music of your rainbow colours.. ' is to find love.gold.

What a great photo to open this beautiful Symphony in C with -

on the surface in sibylline symphony . . .

I can hear and feel the solitude of a soft ballad at play here (J)
