Thinking it over

Thinking it over

A Poem by J

these questions mutter to me

in the quietest hours

before wee dawn ruffles my curtains

blowing naked chills

over smooth skin beneath a peculiar dream

of winged fingers fooling me

        with the bluesy comfort of

old friends

preserving memories . . .

what [who?] determines the salvageability of

broken wings kicking up allergies in fine dust

in fine fashion

In.All.Optimism

for the greater good

[for appearance’ sake] if i only could

Secreted. [for later gratification?] in the denser fog

of ‘it could be worse’ [?]

        of the Acceptance expected yesterday

I open my eyes to my saddest song of

Knowing.

My fingers will never forget

a lifetime of Bending Keys

so sweetly. . .

And in the silence

    i grieve.

making not a sound.

I believe that grieving is meant for a deeper understanding of our ability to love. A lot of people think that love is just happiness. Love is an action word. It requires even the exercise of loss. People seem to appreciate more what they don't take for granted. Pain is such a personal emotion...perhaps to build resilience. Your writing is so rooted and eloquent. It reaches out and touches, dear poet. You are truly gifted :)

god yes, the saddest song IS awakening to the core-deep knowledge of knowing loss...what else can we do but be silent, for who really will hear our tears, and what do they matter in the end?

i KNOW! and sometimes it really pisses me off!
Very beautiful and creative a piece you have woven here, like a tapestry of words all flowing to one center, or end. Each lines is a mind feed of its own, nourishing our thoughts and filling in the empty spots with beauty. Very cool.

Music, notes
Words, lines
Memories and precious times
With every walk, every step
The spirits path endures
It breathes life and soulful cures
A timeless legacy of the journey

The wind and those breezes
Those moments an image freezes
Colorful art, like the souls rainbow
Like a laugh in the glory of the sun
Or a sigh at upon a moonlit night

It's my thought, that you dear Lady
Always found a way to say it just right.

Thank you for being an Angel who's ink always came to my eyes at just the right time to make me muse, ponder, learn and grow.

Your friend,
Aaron =)

The sublime description of not only dwelling in a place but more, dwelling in a state or a time and the contrast it forces upon us. The contrast that fuels the passion so we know and we want. In this place how keen every sense becomes. Is it better to be so preoccupied that we don't see the beauty of even the simplest and beautiful elements of our existence. The ones that make us remember more and desire more.

I love canon in D. Perfection paired with your poem.
