Falling Stars

Falling Stars

A Poem by J

Quietly

    so quietly

the door.clicked.

    closed . . .

and the words fell down

in a tumble of notions and

starlight . . . like mica

caught in eyelashes

and tree tops

    flickering

isinglass danced

along unguarded heartbeats

and

    puddled around my bare feet

winking out

    one.by.one

trembling inferences dimming now

deeply silenced in that moment

I reached down and gathered you

in a shimmery memory and

tucked in my pocket

   the silent unspoken.

i'm happy to see you've written something, and i like the architecture, and i like the stand along stature of it, but i'm not crazy about the ongoing subject of it; however, i do understand that we give from what's given, my most arizonian heart friend

Such sad beauty: words to hold and shed a few tears over. But, whatever happens in your life, your words have that precious something. You walk in sunlight, love.
