The LegendA Poem by IsimbabiThe evil is out at night.
Run fast
When you hear noises Of a creature Moving through the bushes Night fall And it's unleashed A monster Hungry for meat A monster Hungry and relentless A beast Slimy and hairless Scary and scarred By the victims who fought Beware When it's dark and gloomy In your rooms And in the alleys Because the beast It is patient As it lays in wait Forever watching Please don't wait And do not faulter Run away If you smell saliva The beast stays Around the corner In hopes That you won't remember Dont draw attention To yourself When walking, Through the night Don't walk, Through the shadows. And don't stay, Long in light. A beast Six feet tall With claws Stained with blood It'll stalk you with black eyes And a heart Cold as stone It'll watch you Till you get home And feel safe In your little cage You come out To dump the trash It leaps out Of the dark It'll dig deep Into your shoulder When it claws Tears through your ankles There's no running There's no screeming There's only you and this legend © 2017 IsimbabiAuthor's Note
