Tranquility

Tranquility

A Poem by Jihyun Yoo

Sink under, let it flood in.
Arms put afloat.
Like a weary old rose peeling its petals in exhaustion.
Be completely submerged, without a single bubble of air.
There is peace in not having to breathe.
Let sorrow fill every corner of emptiness.
Greet the warmth of nothingness.
Here, all is whole.
All is worthy.

Sink under, let it flood in.

So much in that line alone.

Thank you so much! :)
This was eerily melancholy. I loved this piece; it being vague enough in some areas to give me double-meaning, and raw enough in other areas to feel the full effect of the words.

Great work. :)
