Just My Heart

Just My Heart

A Poem by Jas Alejandrino Ramos

I am a big boy in a big world,

A big world that has changes,

Changes that I have to blend in,

Like feelings that twist

Simple feelings to confusing feelings,

Confusing feelings that make me think,

Thinking that made me more confused,

Confused this innocent heart of mine

Never felt this way before,

Happiness that I felt when I’m with her

I care for her and I make her feel it

Feel what I’m really feeling for her

I just let my heart decide,

Decide of what I’m really feeling for her,

Didn’t used logic or any calculations,

Just my heart.

Just a lovely heartfelt poem Jhas, when you are leading with your heart there is no wrong turn...ever, it seems to have its own wisdom.
Take care with your grammar, use the spell checker in word, that should help.
I loved this piece for its simplicity and promise :-)
Cheers~

I like this. It's a good philosophy for a wise heart.

the first stanza has to be more fluent, it just tells you what the boy is doing.
"confused this innocent heart of mine" it very nice, along with the sentence.

It is very beautiful, Glad you wanted me to review it.

Quite ironic. He grows up to think, but his heart leads the way just as it did when he was a child. Emotions are a powerful and tricky thing, but the story you tell of it is beautiful and innocent in it's own right. Lovely.

Very sweet. And charming. I too liked the line - didn't use logic or any calculation. Just my heart. You are so right. You can't think love. You can't say, that girl would be great for me. Sometimes they appear in the most unlikely of places and in tge least likely of people. Nicely done.

Confusion of love, and how we are made to feel so vulnerable, beautifully written, with such an innocent quality.

I just let my heart decide,
Decide of what I’m really feeling for her,
Didn’t used logic or any calculations,
Just my heart.

In this stanza:Never been felt this before,
( it probably should read, never felt this
way before).
This is a sweet, enduring poem of young love
and the feelings we have.

I really enjoyed this...ahh I wish I still had the strength to follow my heart again..
One line "never been felt this before" really doesn't make much sense to me but it could just be me :)
Peace
Robin
