Shards Of Life

Staring down the walkway of life
Reflecting back on every misstep i had taken
Takes so much of courage to look back
When there's so much of destruction to lay back

Casting sidelong glances at those broken shards
Shards like little diamonds fluttering under melancholic cards
Its difficult to watch them break the very path i walk on
But I cant run, i just keep walking on

Suddenly I'm surrounded by blinding reflections
The shards pierce my skin but bring no reaction
Its too late to figure out what happened
These shards wanted my last fall to dampen.
