Shadowed Sun

Shadowed Sun

A Poem by ElizaB

He let go;
Or perhaps it was me,
The sun sinks slow
Across the sea.
Shadows fall
Into sand
After it all
Just take my hand,
I knew about her
Right from the start
Before we were
Entwined in heart.
Years gone
Our love past
Awake until dawn
Paint on the mask.
You've found anew,
Leave me to rain,
All we went through,
Leave me to pain,
Lines I cross
Life enrage
Sorry for loss
Ink upon page...
A love to lose
A love to death
Forever my muse
Until my last breath

Mesmerizing! In all honesty, I don't find "you've found anew.....leave me to pain" completely understandable, but that didn't take too much away from the whole experience of reading this poem. It's beyond words, and the ending is golden. Well done!
