Ice Dreams

Ice Dreams

A Poem by ElizaB

Awoken by ice,

By dreams;

A fool’s paradise

In which it seems

We love,

Not hate,

Well, sort of…

Uncrushed by weight

That we cannot stand

And never could,

I feel my hand

Against your hood,

This face,

I know… and knew,

Would trace

As untrue

Fell from lips

That kissed

That grips

My soul eclipse.

Tell me

This cannot be it,

Tell me you loved

All along,

That our hearts will fit

Forever long,

That we can live

As long

As our love is strong…

That I was wrong

And you were wrong

Tell me,

What I thought I knew,

Promise me,

Love;

Always;

And you.

This poem is *chilling*. Okay in all seriousness I could really feel the emotion in this one and I really relate to it, I just had to get that pun in there. I hope you have a great day! I’m excited to see more of your work in the future.
