Concrete Rose

Concrete Rose

A Poem by ElizaB

Petals upon
Steps of stone,
The lovers walk,
Entwined;
Unsewn;
Toes of chalk,
Bodies of bone,
Take her now,
Beneath natures groan,
Hold her,
Move her,
No longer alone,
The lovers dance
Toward unknown.
Free at last,
The heart has flown.
