Darkness Calls

Darkness Calls

A Poem by ElizaB

In your arms,

I find comfort,
Upon my back
With bloodied lips;
And smoke dancing
Against the lights,
That is comfort.
In your arms

I find pain,
Fingertips from strangers
And flowers rain.
Betrayal eases me.
It is familiar,
And lifesaving.
Those words of yours;
Those silk lies
That slide from your throat
And Into mine,

Let’s start again.
 A new face
To replace mine.
Hold me down

Until copper coats
My deceit drenched tongue
And I cannot think,
Cannot speak

Or dream
About her anymore.
 Until eyes fade
And darkness calls.

Deception;
Hold me,

Until dawn.

I find your style like raining of fall in words. Very impressive words can touch us and leave us in wonder and joy. Nicely done.
