Strings

Strings

A Poem by ElizaB

Sever your strings,
Let me go.
Her kiss still raw
Upon my soul.
Wretched eyes
Wish for dust,
For fire skies;
A world of rust.
Where you and I
Never met.
I skipped on by...
Nevet forget
Your lies.
I wilt
With flowers in hand;
A Shade of guilt...
Time, it flies,
Palms find sand.
No name,
No body to destroy.
Salt in shame
About a boy.
I trace his name
Instead,
With You, unknown.
And do not pray
That I am dead.
