Before the wife

Before the wife

A Poem by ElizaB

Once upon a time
I held childhoods hand,
We skipped in mist
Across the land;
I felt life;
I felt love.
Before wife
Loomed above.
No rings;
Just glitter...
No strings;
Adulthood bitter.
Stay young,
Hold youth,
Dream, among
The truth;
See
Colour in rhyme;
Cherish,
Once upon a time...

Poetic poem with bitter taste. Exploration of own world. Words are beautiful even world is not.
