You Never Learn

You Never Learn

A Poem by ElizaB

Heart in pieces;

A melodic phase "

My worth decreases;

This world a maze

In which I’m trapped

In lifeless days

My face inapt.

Deceit always.

You drowned me;

In waves of sound

My golden key

Lost,

Beneath the ground "

Frost;

No light;

No more laughter;

Just white.

I found

No ever after.

A painful sight

Before your eyes

Blood at night

Just bitter lies.

With her excite.

All is rain;

All is gone;

Life down drain

The curtains drawn.

And you just watch;

My flesh alight

Another notch

Out of fight;

Let me go

Into the night

For

Only now;

Can I burn bright.
