The Lovers picnic

The Lovers picnic

A Poem by ElizaB

This life, a dream.

Farfetched -

A reverie.

Scarlet waves

Against

Wandering stones.

We let go.

Ripples a competition.

A kaleidoscope "

Burgundy hearts

And lust beneath.

Watch me fall "

Rock me,

Pour this glitter -

This gold.

Stay "

Please "

Arrange a blanket,

Heart beside me.

Sketch this love

In ribbons.

Pages like pearls.

Leaves in the pot,

Let them stew -

Lemon cloud against porcelain.

Finally,

Let us eat cake.

Whilst I breathe,

Seemingly "

This life, a charity.
