My life without you

My life without you

A Poem by Donald Olds

To live my life without you,

impossible.

To love you and show love for someone else,

uncomprehendable

To cheat on you,

the thought unendurable.

My love is unconditional it comes straight from my heart.

And for you to take it and give it to someone new.

Kills

It kills me to know that your playing me just like everyone else

I thought you saw me as the one,

You came on strong, We went places we've never been before.

But now i see that this was all a hoax.

Your love meant so much to me, but

in the end you tore out my heart and gave it to someone

that you barely knew.

Sad.. I felt your honest feelings, I liked the first 6 lines more and all your poem also

nice wording and the feeling is there but what i've always told you is that your work is raw and needs refining but in this case it works

Very sad, very real. Line 10 has a typo in the word 'kells'. Thanks for sharing, t.
