Questions?

Questions?

A Poem by Jex

you spend your whole life trying to find why you are put on this world
is it to create greatness?
Is it to change the world?
to reck havoc... and burn this world to ashes
to tip the balance of the universe
is it simply just to live with no real purpose in this short life we have,

Once you are dead no one will remember who you were,
you are left to rot in a grave that might as well have been unmarked
as who visits a person who they don't know that is already dead
maybe you were to be put on this earth for someone else entirely

you question everything in existence knowing that there is never an answer to the questions you ask
does it scare you?
does it make you try harder to find answers to what is unsolvable?
We come up with theories to why we do the things we do
What it means to be satisfied as a human being
Why we are put on this earth
but at the end of the day they are nothing but theories
because in the end no one has the right answers...
and we would rather have any answer... then to be left completely to the mercy of the unknown...

From the moment you are born your time starts and the clock is ticking down...
And when it goes off there will be nothing left
and you will be nothing but a hole in the ground

There really is no proper way to end this
It is just another unknown that you have to live with
So do what you always do to keep the small sanity you have
And find your own answers like everyone else in this world uncertainty

My theory is that the meaning of life is to leave this planet better than we found it. That's an adaptation of a Girl Scout saying: "A good Girl Scout always leaves a place cleaner than she found it."

Of course, that's only my personal belief about the meaning of life.

“The truth was a mirror in the hands of God. It fell, and broke into pieces. Everybody took a piece of it, and they looked at it and thought they had the truth.”
― Mawlana Jalal-al-Din Rumi
